# Progress & Feedback

> How XP, proficiency, and evidence help you improve.

Socratify turns every answer into momentum. You’ll see progress through XP, skill proficiency, and actionable debriefs.

## XP (Experience Points)

* Earned for time spent, engagement, and completing levels
* Helps you build a streak and measure consistency
* Encourages short daily reps or focused 15–20 minute sessions

## Skill Proficiency

* Your goal maps to 7–12 skills across hard, fluid, and soft categories
* Each exercise adds evidence toward these skills
* Targets make progress visible (e.g., moving from “developing” to “confident”)

## Evidence (Why you’re improving)

* Debriefs extract the reasoning patterns you demonstrated
* Evidence accumulates over time — not based on a single answer
* Strong evidence moves you closer to your target proficiency

## Debrief Anatomy

Expect feedback that’s clear and useful:

* What you covered well vs. what to try next
* The “Socratify take” — a compact expert answer
* When relevant: trade‑off tables, option coverage, or stakeholder views

## What Socratify Teaches You

Debriefs focus on reusable thinking patterns you can apply anywhere:

* Trade‑offs: Identifying the real gains vs. risks and choosing a path
* Options coverage: Generating alternatives and comparing them quickly
* Stakeholder reasoning: Mapping incentives, jobs‑to‑be‑done, gains and pains
* Metrics and causality: Picking signals you’d actually see, that truly indicate success
* Second‑order effects: Thinking beyond the first move to likely consequences
* Assumptions and risk: Surfacing the hidden bet and how you’d test it
* Communication: Top‑down clarity, strong “so what,” and consistent logic

## Staying Sharp

* Skills decay without use — Socratify brings back refreshers at the right time
* You can always jump into a RealPlay for a deeper challenge
