# How Practice Works

> Tracks, levels, Learn vs. RealPlay, and the skill matrix.

Socratify turns your goal into a structured practice journey. You’ll move through short, focused exercises that build the way you think — then apply it in realistic scenarios.

## Tracks

* A track is your personalized practice plan for a goal (e.g., “PM interviews at consumer tech”).
* Tracks can be generated from your goal or curated from popular roles and companies.
* Every track adapts as you practice — later levels respond to your strengths and gaps.

## Levels

* Each level contains 4–5 short exercises and ends with a RealPlay.
* Learn exercises build specific skills; RealPlay asks you to integrate them in context.
* Expect 10–15 minutes per level; or take exercises one at a time.

## Learn vs. RealPlay

* Learn: targeted drills that isolate a single skill (e.g., trade‑offs, assumptions, mental models).
* RealPlay: a realistic, time‑boxed scenario that feels like the real thing (news, data, quotes, stakeholders).
* Advanced learners can skip Learn and jump directly to RealPlay.

## The Skill Matrix

* Your goal maps to 7–12 skills across hard, fluid, and soft categories.
* Each skill has a target proficiency (e.g., “confident” or “top 10%”).
* As you practice, you earn XP and accumulate evidence that demonstrates proficiency.

## How It Adapts

* Agentic selection: AI chooses Learn exercises that prepare you for the upcoming RealPlay.
* Evidence‑driven: Debriefs convert your responses into skill evidence, informing what comes next.
* Skill decay: Haven’t practiced something lately? Socratify brings it back at the right time.

## Platforms

* Mobile first (iOS/Android via Expo). Web is coming — your progress stays in sync across devices.
